Dr Ramachandran has undertaken MSc in surgical science at Imperial College London focusing her research project on learning curves and skill acquisition of microsurgery at the Microvascular Simulation Anastomosis Hub (MASH). Dr Ramachandran continues to support the educational programmes following her work as a teaching fellow in Barts and The London Academic Plastic Surgery Group.
Dr Georgios Pafitanis MD
Dr Georgios Pafitanis obtained his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) with distinction from the University of Ioannina and completed his foundation training at the University of Liverpool, Mersey deanery. He completed his core surgical training in central London hospitals at the London Postgraduate School Of Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is also qualified in Surgical skills and sciences with an MSc (Hon) and in Aesthetic Medicine with a PGCert (Distinction).
Dr Pafitanis is currently a Specialist Registrar in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer in the Academic Plastic Surgery Unit, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. He is undertaking his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Reconstructive Microsurgery working on microsurgery motor skills acquisition and assessments methodology at the Microsurgery Simulation Anastomosis Hub (MASH Lab). He is also a member and instructor for the International Microsurgery Simulation Society (IMSS) activities and faculty for the MSc in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the Barts and the London School of Medicine.
